What holiday does this celebrate?

Our Holiday Games, including Holiday Codeword, are not specific to one holiday in particular and include multiple winter holidays that celebrate the festive time of year (e.g. Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa). They do not skew more towards one than the other and do not include religious undertones at all.

Additionally, our Holiday and Winter themes are globally-friendly! Inclusivity is important to us and we ensure that it is a part of all of our offerings.

If you have strong company values/hopes for the experience that you’d like us to accommodate, please let us know in the ‘special request’ section.

Can I choose a specific host?

We are unable to guarantee certain hosts for Holiday Codeword, as their booking is dependent on availability. Please drop a note in the 'special requests' section when booking, and we'll do our best to make it happen. Either way, we promise you'll have a wonderful experience with any of our vetted hosts!

How many people are on a team?

Groups will be divided into two groups of 2-20 people per team, depending on headcount.

Difficulty is subjective! We try to make all of our games fun but the right amount of challenging. Please chat with us below to ensure you’ve chosen the right experience for your team.

What if fewer people show up than planned for?

Accepted Answer

This experience is eligible for [Refundable Attendance](https://www.withconfetti.com/help-center/en/collections/6372743-refundable-attendance-policy). If you would like a refund for participants who did not attend, please reach out to our support team (support@withconfetti.com) within 2 business days after your event to confirm your booking meets the criteria and we’ll refund you with Confetti Credits.

Can we create team names?

If selecting 'randomized' for your team allocation, your Holiday Codeword host will split you randomly into teams by sending you to two breakout rooms. You will meet your team there and come up with a team name before returning to the main room for gameplay.

For the 'choose your teams' option, we provide a sign-up sheet to fill out your players' names and team name ahead of time.

Can the duration of the game be shortened?

At this time, we are unable to customize or adjust the duration of Holiday Codeword. The game itself takes about 45 minutes to play through. For the best experience, we recommend planning for an event that is 60 minutes long to account for setup, instructions, and gameplay. Our hosts try to keep gameplay as close to schedule as possible. Please let us know if you have a hard stop and we can see if we can accommodate.

Can this event be recorded? Can a photo be taken?

📸 **Photos / screenshots:** Our hosts always do their best to catch a screenshot at the end of your event. If you would like a photo, feel free to remind your host at the start of your event.

📹 **Video recordings:** This event can be recorded. To ensure a recording is taken, **please request one from your host at the start of your event** - they’re happy to accommodate when asked!

Are there prizes for winners?

Prizes are **not** included or required. Due to the team sizes for Holiday Codeword, we do **not** recommend sourcing your own prizes for this experience.

Is this game work appropriate and international friendly?

Accepted Answer

Our games are designed with corporate teams in mind and, based on customer input, we consider this game to be international-friendly! If players feel a word is too complicated, they have the option to "pass" it to the next team and keep the game moving.

Please make sure to enter your group details and any other relevant info in the ‘context for your host’ section of your event briefing after booking. We can’t guarantee content adjustments, but we gladly welcome feedback.
